After experiencing one bout of sickness in our family this winter, I am looking to boost our immune function any way I can. So, I am happy to slurp up some of my favorite immune boosting foods all together in one glass! Asian pears, along with their crisp and refreshing texture, are prized in Chinese medicine for their ability to combat mucus and coughs. All that combined with the healing properties of ginger, lemon, and mint and we are feeling revived and ready to combat the back to school germs.
- 1 cup greens (fresh or frozen – I used kale, but spinach would be great too)
- 1 TBSP moringa powder (I use Kuli Kuli)
- 2 asian pears
- 1/2 avocado
- 1/2 banana
- 2 TBSP lemon juice
- 3 tsp chopped ginger
- ~20 mint leaves
- 1 cup Water
- 1/4 cup nut milk
- Blend all ingredients on high for 1 minute or until it has reached a smooth, uniform texture.
