Brussel Sprouts

Brussels Sprouts are a “love ’em or hate ’em” food, but not fried Brussel Sprouts! We see them in restaurants all the time, but making them at home is easier than one thinks! 15minutes and VOILA, something the entire family loves to snack on!

INGREDIENTS:

  • Sunflower Seed Oil, for frying
  • 1 lb. Brussels Sprouts

HONEY SRIRACHA GLAZE:

  • 1 tsp. Olive Oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cupĀ #Honey
  • 2 T lemon juice, plus zest
  • 2 T Rice Vinegar
  • 2 T #Sriracha
  • Sea Salt to taste

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Fill a large pot with a few inches of Sunflower Oil. Heat oil to 400 degrees.
  2. In a different pan, add olive oil and garlic over med heat. Cook 1-2 minutes until garlic is barely golden. Add honey, lemon, zest, rice vinegar. Whisk together and simmer 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened. Whisk the SRIRACHA and remove it from heat. Season with salt to taste.
  3. When the oil is to 400 degrees, add 1/2 Brussels sprouts and turn heat to high. Stir sprouts while frying. When they float to the top and have a golden brown color, about 3minutes, remove with a slotted spoon and transfer to a paper-towel-lined sheet tray. REPEAT with the rest.
  4. Sprinkle Brussels with salt, DIP IN SAUCE AND ENJOY!!!

Desiree extended her nutrition education at The Institute for Integrative Nutrition where Health ReMynted was born simply means “renewing one’s health.” She has been lovingly coaching and educating others on intentional eating and overall wellness in order to renew and live our best life! She does extensive work with those suffering from specific-related diseases, hormone imbalances, anxiety, and depression. Her goal is to help guide people in understanding balance and what it means to eat and live intentionally for pure bliss, all while our bodies heal and flourish!

Heal+Thy Woman Project was born when she realized the immense necessity and lack-there-of in women’s health and education. For months she wanted to find a new word for “healthy”–being that “healthy” has lost its value in the every-day. She woke up one morning realizing her life’s passion is in the word “healthy”– “Heal Thy”. She believes that to be truly healthy we must first heal. She explains it in this way, “to have a healthy gut we must first “heal thy” gut”. Heal+ Thy Woman Project has become her sole focus to guide women thru healing and becoming more connected with their own beautiful bodies!
